Dear MMLL Families,

Due to popular demand, we have extended our Fall Ball registration until Sept. 20

FALL BALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN and FREE
!!!
You can register on our website or by clicking here: Register Now!
Did we mention it's free this year!?! Registration will only be open until September 20, 2020 so don't delay! We had a great Summer Season for those who participated, and look forward to the same for Fall Ball. For those who have never participated in Fall Ball, it's a great opportunity for your player to prepare for the 2021 Spring season as well as to get outside for some fun and exercise. Fall Ball can even qualify for P.E. at many of the surrounding schools. Fall ball is an instruction season for players to work on their baseball fundamentals and to develop new skill sets they may not have worked on before. This is especially helpful if your player is moving up to the next division in Spring 2021, so they can better prepare for those changes in rules and/or field sizes.
THE FALL SEASON under Covid-19 Protocols
Under the current State and County guidelines due to Covid-19, ALL YOUTH SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS are NOT permitted to play games or scrimmage, with the exception of scrimmaging among your “team” or “camp”, which is limited to 12 players. So for example, a team consisting of 12 players can play an inter-squad scrimmage 6 v. 6, only. As such, until the State or County guidelines change in this regard, the Fall Ball season will run for approximately eight (8) weeks from September 21, 2020 to November 13, 2020 and consist of practices and inter-squad/team/camp scrimmages as scheduled by managers. PLEASE NOTE, we are aware that there are some youth sports organizations out there who claim to, or are, playing “games” or having “scrimmages”; however, these are in violation of current State and County orders regarding youth sports play. So, beware and know that if the State and County guidelines change to “open up” for game play, MMLL will certainly transition to scheduling for game play and even consider extending the Fall season.
Of course, the safety of the entire MMLL community has always been and will continue to be our top priority. As such, MMLL will continue to operate under the same return to play guidelines as we did for the Summer Season. See our 2020 Mira Mesa Little League Return To Play Physical Distancing Safety Plan. This plan was created considering local, state and federal guidelines, best practices from Little League International and other youth sports organizations across the country. The plan was established in an effort to resume MMLL baseball activities while protecting and supporting the health and well-being of our managers, coaches, volunteers, players and spectators. We encourage you to spend time reviewing these rules with your player to familiarize them with the changes to make things go smoother for our managers and coach volunteers to ensure compliance. We have found through our Summer Season that the players adapt very quickly and have enjoyed returning to play.

CALL FOR MANAGERS/COACHES
Of course, without managers and coaches, we cannot return to play, even if it is just practices. Remember, this is for the kids and assisting in developing their baseball skills. So please email our manger representative, Darrel Lamar, at [email protected] to put your name on the list to be a coach or manager.
THANK YOU
We at MMLL want to thank everyone for their support, understanding, and patience through these unprecedented times. We are appreciative of our community and glad that we are able to provide an opportunity for the kids within it to get outside, exercise and most importantly, PLAY BALL!! We look forward to a fun, positive Fall season.
Sincerely,
MMLL Board
